Milkshake Silver Shampoo
To all you ladies and gents out there looking for the perfect purple shampoo to get rid of brassiness look no further. Milkshake Silver Shampoo will save you from your yellow hair days.
My hair is naturally an auburn colour but I had had it dyed a chocolate brown for about two years and recently went back to blonde. My hair was definitely a bit on the yellow side... but the yellows that you wanted to stay away from, the ones that say, "Yes my hair is definitely dyed, and it was also very damaging to my hair." I wanted more of a silvery look and had been trying out different purple shampoos. I started with AG hair care which worked well for a while but I thought that maybe there was something better out there. Somehow I came across this brand; Milkshake is a brand from the UK. Their products are professional quality and usually only carried in salons. In Canada its around $22 a bottle but its well worth it. I bought mine in a salon called Kharma in Oak Bay Village, (Victoria BC). As soon as I used this Shampoo I saw a difference, no more yellow! My hair was now a silvery colour with hints of purple in it.
To use this shampoo you lather it throughout damp but not soaking hair and massage into your scalp and leave in for three to five minutes. Now I like mine to be a little more intense so i leave it in for ten minutes occasionally or repeat it. I suggest using a conditioner after because your hair will feel a little coarse if you don't. I personally use the AG purple conditioner afterwards and leave that in for a couple minutes.
Now fair warning, the shampoo is very liquidy and a very very dark purple and it may leave your hands a little bit purple as well.
