Quantity or Quality?
Quantity or Quality now that is the question, but the answer differs depending on who you're talking to and what you're talking about. This can be related to many things; how many tubs of ice cream you can buy for 12$ or how many driving lessons you can get in a package deal, however right now we're talking about the fashion industry and not food (sigh).
When I started going clothing shopping on my own I would always buy the deals, now the thing is deals may be good on your pocket money, but only for the time being. Unless you're lucky deal items tend to wear down really quickly because the quality matters less considering the amount of money you're spending on it. But if you think about it in the long run you'll end up spending more money on it in the years to come. When your clothes wear down you'll go and buy more and more. Now think about this, would you rather continue spending more money in the long run or more money at one point in time on something that will last you years.
An example is an "Icebreaker" merino wool shirt that my mum has owned for almost five years, sure it was pricey at the time but in reality it was worth it.
If you're lucky you can find quality for less however it generally costs more than buying things in bulk.
The logic of finances and buying in bulk are completely different when you're talking about different things, if we were talking about food for instance it would be a better idea to buy in bulk and there wouldn't necessarily be a difference in quality. Too bad it's not the same with clothing.
